GLA (gamma-linolenic acid, from the omega-6 series), which is also included in this formula, is obtained from borage seed oil. Borage, also known as starflower, is a plant commonly found in Asia, North Africa and Europe. It has been used since ancient times in traditional medicine and is a rich source of fatty acids. This formula also contains vitamin E which helps protect cells from oxidative stress.
