Don`t quit enjoying the sun! Sunscreens for sensitive and allergic skins

Being able to enjoy a magnificent sunny day, on the beach or in the pool, is for some people an impossible mission. They do not abandon the umbrella, they always use the cap, they never take off their shirts and use an adequate protection factor, but even so, they feel that their skin reddens, itches, burns, is tight or rough. They have even suffered rashes or peeling skin.

Do you have sensitive skin or could it be an allergy? They are different phenomena but they are often confused since they present a similar symptomatology. To diagnose if your skin is intolerant or allergic, do not hesitate to consult a dermatologist, he better than anyone can give you the guidelines to treat your skin.

We refer to intolerant or sensitive skins when the skin responds immediately to external aggressions because of little tolerance to certain external factors, such as pollution, solar radiation or inadequate cosmetics, or also internal factors such as fatigue, stress or a bad diet.

Allergic skins, on the other hand, involve a specific reaction of our immune system to allergens that are usually harmless substances for most. The immune system recognizes as strange the substance with which it has come in contact and to defend itself, it produces antibodies to fight against it, as it would do with a pathogen.

The symptoms are usually similar: Redness, inflammation, peeling, burning, tightness ... Establishing a correct diagnosis can be complex, so a medical professional has to do certain tests to rule out an allergy.

The symptoms of sensitive and allergic skins can be increased by many factors and one of them is the presence of certain components in cosmetics and solar products such as perfumes and conservatives.

But do not falter, enjoying the sun in summer can be easier than it seems using the appropriate sunscreens. Below, we present products and lines of specific sunscreens for sensitive and allergic skins.
