Using the ointment reduces swelling and discomfort associated with corneal oedema due to fluid accumulation in the cornea. It fully hydrates the cornea.

How does Corneal Oedema Ointment work?
The product hypertonically overloads the entire space around the oedema, so that it is the very cell inflamed by the oedema that drains fluid outwards and decongests, so that relief is achieved quickly, but without accelerating the process, making the cell expel fluid. As the oedema decreases due to the elimination of liquid in the oedematous area, relief and improvement of the symptoms is noted.

Directions for Use:
1. Wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water before applying the ointment. 2. Tilt your head back slightly and gently pull down your lower eyelid to create a small pocket. 3. Look up and squeeze a small amount (approximately 1/4 inch) of ODM5 Corneal Antioedema Ointment into the pocket. 4. Close your eye for a few moments and gently roll your eye to distribute the ointment evenly. 5. Avoid touching the tip of the tube to your eye, fingers, or any other surface to prevent contamination.
Recommended Frequency:
Apply ODM5 Corneal Antioedema Ointment as directed by your ophthalmologist or healthcare professional. Typically, this is 1 to 2 times daily, or as needed to relieve symptoms. Your doctor may adjust the frequency based on your individual needs.
Additional Tips:
1. If you wear contact lenses, remove them before applying the ointment and wait at least 15 minutes before reinserting them, unless otherwise directed by your doctor. 2. Temporary blurred vision may occur after application. Avoid driving or operating machinery until your vision clears. 3. If you experience any persistent eye irritation, excessive tearing, or worsening of symptoms, discontinue use and consult your ophthalmologist immediately. 4. Store the ointment at room temperature and keep the tube tightly closed when not in use. 5. Do not use this product after the expiration date printed on the tube. 6. Keep out of reach of children.
