I've struggled with melasma for years and finding a sunscreen that doesn't make it worse is a real challenge. I was looking at La Roche-Posay and Eucerin, but CeraVe kept popping up. This lotion is lightweight, doesn't leave a white cast on my skin (which is a huge plus!), and seems to be helping to keep my dark spots at bay. It's not a miracle worker, but definitely a good daily sunscreen for my face.
