In 1946 The Nina Ricci House created Coeur Joie, the House's first perfume. Its second fragrance, L'Air du Temps, is since 1948 the iconic classic known the world over and that has withstood the tests of time and fashion.
Its fame helped consolidate the House's international reputation. In time it was followed by three new creations: Fille d'Eve, Capricci and Farouche.
This rich heritage is still alive today and an endless source of inspiration for the brand and its perfumes.
If an original version of Nina had a particular sign, it might be its daringly delicious caramel side.
This indulgent signature can be found in a new variation orchestrated by Olivier Cresp, thanks to an irresistible praline note.
Sprayed this on at 7am before my commute. I could still smell it faintly around lunchtime, which is decent. By 4pm, it was mostly gone, but I got whiffs of it when I moved. Not overpowering, sits close to the skin after a couple of hours.

I think this Nina Ricci is best suited for cooler weather. It's a bit too sweet for hot summer days, but perfect for autumn. Lasts well enough.

I was a bit on the fence about ordering this, tbh. I usually go for heavier scents, but I wanted something lighter for spring. It's actually quite nice! The apple note is definitely there, but it's not overpowering. It's sweeter than I expected, but not sickly sweet. I think it's best suited for cooler spring or autumn days, when you want something comforting but not too heavy. Lasts a decent amount of time too, maybe 5-6 hours.
