Vanderbilt’s Slava Zaitsev Maroussia eau de toilette spray is a merger of a fresh florals and sweet amber notes. Mouroussia was designed for one of the most prestigious Haute Couture fashion houses in Russia, Slava Zaitsev celebrates the free spirited women with this fragrance Maroussia. Vanderbilt’s Maroussia is the first perfume by the Russian designer Slava Zaitsev. Maroussia is also a gorgeous female Russian name: Marusja or Maria. The perfume is an intensive and oriental scent with the rich floral heart and woody, balmy base fragrance notes. It is not a very common perfume in Russia, but it is acclaimed by the western critics as well as consumers as a beautiful fragrance. Aldehydes, bergamot, orange blossom and peach are at the highest and strongest notes of the fragrance; heliotrope, jasmine, rose, lily of the valley, orchid, iris, tuberose and ylang-ylang in the heart notes; and amber, benzoin, cedar, civet, musk, sandalwood, Tonka bean and vanilla are at the base notes of this product. The perfume was made in 1992 by Slava Zaitsev and is recommended by many reviews to be worn during the evening to compliment any women. Perfumes have been recognised to exist in some of the earliest human civilizations either through ancient texts or from archaeological digs. Modern perfumery began in the late 19th century with the viable synthesis of aroma compounds such as vanillin or coumarin, which permitted for the composition of perfumes with, smells previously unattainable solely from ordinary aromatics alone.
