Inspect the needle packaging for any damage or expiration. Do not use if compromised. 4. Carefully remove the needle from its sterile packaging, avoiding touching the needle tip. 5. Attach the needle securely to the syringe. 6. Prepare the medication or fluid according to the manufacturer's instructions and draw it into the syringe. 7. Cleanse the injection site with an alcohol swab. 8. Insert the needle into the vein or muscle at the appropriate angle, as directed by a healthcare professional. 9. Inject the medication or fluid slowly and steadily. 10. Withdraw the needle and immediately dispose of it in a sharps disposal container. Do not recap the needle. 11.
