Invert the vial and draw the insulin into the syringe to the correct dose. 7. Check for air bubbles. If present, gently tap the syringe to dislodge them and push them back into the vial. Readjust the dose if necessary. 8. Select an injection site according to your doctor's recommendations. Common sites include the abdomen, thigh, or upper arm. Rotate injection sites to prevent skin problems. 9. Pinch a fold of skin at the injection site. 10. Insert the needle straight into the pinched skin at a 90-degree angle. 11.
