These Steri-Strips are surprisingly strong. I used them after a minor kitchen mishap (knife vs. finger, you know the drill) and they held the edges of the cut together really well. I was worried about them peeling off in the shower, but they stayed put for days. Definitely better than regular bandages for keeping a small wound closed and clean. Will buy again for my first aid kit.

Directions for Use: 1. Clean and dry the wound and surrounding skin thoroughly. Ensure the area is free of any ointments, creams, or lotions. 2. If necessary, trim the Steri-Strip to the desired length. 3. Peel the Steri-Strip from the backing paper. 4. Starting at the center of the wound, apply one end of the Steri-Strip to one side of the wound, gently pulling the skin together. 5. Smooth the Steri-Strip across the wound to the other side, ensuring the wound edges are closed and aligned. 6. Apply additional Steri-Strips parallel to the first one, spaced approximately 1/8 inch (3mm) apart, overlapping the wound edges. 7. Avoid stretching the Steri-Strips during application. 8. For best results, apply Steri-Strips perpendicular to the direction of natural skin tension.
Recommended Frequency: Leave the Steri-Strips in place until they begin to peel off on their own, typically 5-10 days. Do not forcefully remove the Steri-Strips. If the wound requires further closure after the Steri-Strips fall off, consult a healthcare professional.
Additional Tips: 1. Do not apply Steri-Strips to infected wounds, deep puncture wounds, animal bites, or heavily bleeding wounds. Seek medical attention for these types of injuries. 2. Keep the area dry. Avoid soaking the Steri-Strips in water for prolonged periods (e.g., swimming, bathing). 3. If the Steri-Strips become wet, gently pat them dry with a clean towel. 4. If the Steri-Strips become loose or fall off prematurely, reapply new Steri-Strips as needed. 5. If you experience any signs of infection (increased redness, swelling, pain, pus, or fever), consult a healthcare professional immediately. 6. For optimal adhesion, avoid applying Steri-Strips over hairy areas. If necessary, carefully trim the hair around the wound before application. 7. Do not reuse Steri-Strips.
