Don't forget often-missed areas like your ears, the back of your neck, the tops of your feet, and even your lips (use a lip balm with SPF for the latter).
A good rule of thumb is to use about one ounce (two tablespoons) of sunscreen to cover your entire body.
Rub the lotion in thoroughly until it is no longer visible. Reapply every two hours, or immediately after swimming, sweating, or towel drying.
Even on cloudy days, UV rays can penetrate and cause damage, so daily use is recommended. Pay special attention to areas that are frequently exposed to the sun, such as the face, arms, and legs.
Consider using a higher SPF if you have very fair skin or a history of skin cancer. Store the sunscreen in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight.
