Be sure to cover often-missed areas like the ears, back of the neck, tops of the feet, and behind the knees.
Don't forget the lips; use a lip balm with SPF.
Reapply frequently, especially after swimming, sweating, or toweling off. The general recommendation is to reapply every two hours, even on cloudy days.
Use a sufficient amount. A good rule of thumb is about one ounce (two tablespoons) to cover the entire body.
Rub the lotion in thoroughly until it is no longer visible on the skin.
Pay special attention to children's faces, and avoid getting the product in their eyes.
