Apply a sufficient amount of the soap to cover all surfaces of your hands. Aim for about one pump to start.
Rub your hands together vigorously, palm to palm, then interlace your fingers and rub the back of your hands. Don't forget to scrub under your fingernails and around your wrists.
Continue scrubbing for at least 20 seconds. A helpful tip is to hum the "Happy Birthday" song twice from beginning to end.
Rinse your hands thoroughly under clean, running water. Make sure all the soap residue is gone.
Dry your hands using a clean towel or an air dryer. Recommendations: Use lukewarm water if possible. Avoid excessively hot water, as it can dry out your skin. To maintain healthy skin, apply a moisturizing hand cream after washing, especially if you wash your hands frequently.
