Directions for Use:
1. Insert a new, clean Lens Filter.
2. Press the Power button.
3. Select the correct age setting using the Age Precision button. This is crucial for accurate temperature interpretation.
4. Gently pull the ear back and upwards for adults and children over 1 year old, or straight back for infants under 1 year old. This straightens the ear canal for accurate readings. 5. Insert the probe snugly into the ear canal until the ear canal is sealed. 6. Press and release the Measurement button.
7. The temperature will be displayed on the screen along with an interpretation based on the selected age setting (green for normal, yellow for elevated, and red for high). 8. Remove the probe and discard the used Lens Filter.
9. Clean the probe tip with a soft, dry cloth.
Recommended Frequency:
As needed to monitor body temperature. Can be used multiple times a day when necessary, especially during illness.
Additional Tips:
For consistent readings, always use a new Lens Filter for each measurement.
Ensure the probe is properly inserted into the ear canal for accurate readings.
Taking the temperature in the same ear each time can provide more consistent results.
Wait at least 15 minutes after bathing, eating, or exercising before taking a temperature.
Store the thermometer in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
