Trofolastin Scar Reducer Patches 10x14cm 5u. Trofolastin patches reduce hypertrophic and keloid scars, and act as a protector of the scar from the sun. It serves to protect scars from the sun and also to give them a better appearance in a natural way. These patches, made by Novartis Laboratories, are polyurethane dressings, and have two layers: an external microporous membrane and an internal film, which, thanks to its adherent nature, facilitates the fixation of the patch to the skin. Trofolastin Scar Reducer Patches do not contain any active ingredients or principles, as their action is physical, since they increase the pressure on the scar and also modify the humidity that remains under the dressing, giving rise to the correct arrangement of the natural collagen of the skin in the affected area. The patches are water resistant, as long as they are placed on the skin without folds. Who is it indicated for? For people with recent or old hypertrophic scars or keloid scars. How is it used? Wash your hands thoroughly before using the dressing, and clean and dry the scar area. Then open the sachet of Trofolastin patches and carefully separate the protective layers. The patch is placed over the scar, taking care not to form folds and checking that the edges are properly fixed to the skin. If the dressing needs to be trimmed, this should be done before removing the protective layer. Recommendation: Trofolastin patches are a product indicated for reducing scars caused by burns, general surgery or traumatic wounds. Scars originate as a result of wound healing and often have unsightly results, so products such as this can be used to reduce them. In the case of scars in the breast area, Novartis offers specific patches for scars in this area, both for the breasts and the areola; scars that may arise after breast augmentation, reduction, lifting or shaping operations; or reconstructive surgeries.

Directions for Use: 1. Wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water before applying the patch. 2. Clean and dry the scar area completely. Ensure the skin is free of any creams, lotions, or oils. 3. Open the Trofolastin Elasticity Scar Reducer sachet carefully. 4. Gently peel off the protective layers from the patch. 5. Apply the patch directly over the scar, ensuring it lies flat without any folds or wrinkles. 6. Smooth down the edges of the patch to ensure proper adhesion to the skin. 7. If necessary, trim the patch to size before removing the protective layers.


Recommended Frequency: Apply a new Trofolastin Elasticity Scar Reducer patch once every 24 hours, or as directed by your healthcare professional. Continuous use is recommended for optimal results.


Additional Tips: For best results, use Trofolastin Elasticity Scar Reducer on closed wounds. The patch is water-resistant, allowing you to shower or bathe while wearing it. However, avoid excessive soaking or scrubbing. If the patch becomes loose or starts to peel, replace it with a new one. For scars on the breast or areola, consider using Trofolastin's specialized breast scar patches.
