Nexcare Steri Trip

Instructions for Use: 1. Clean and dry the wound and surrounding skin thoroughly. 2. If necessary, use antiseptic wipes to disinfect the area. 3. Ensure the wound edges are brought together neatly. 4. Peel a Steri-Strip from its backing, handling it by the ends. 5. Apply the first Steri-Strip across the center of the wound, pulling the skin together gently. 6. Apply additional Steri-Strips parallel to the first one, spacing them approximately 1/8 inch (3mm) apart, depending on the wound size and tension. 7. Ensure the Steri-Strips extend approximately 1/2 inch (1.25cm) beyond each side of the wound. 8. Smooth down the edges of each Steri-Strip to ensure good adhesion.

Recommended Frequency: Leave the Steri-Strips in place until they begin to peel off naturally, usually within 5-10 days. Do not forcefully remove them. If the wound requires longer support, consult a healthcare professional.

Additional Tips: Do not apply Steri-Strips to infected wounds, deep puncture wounds, animal bites, or burns. Do not apply lotions or ointments directly under the Steri-Strips as this may affect adhesion. If redness, swelling, or excessive pain occurs, remove the Steri-Strips and consult a healthcare professional. Keep the area dry. Avoid stretching or excessive movement of the wound area. Protect the wound from direct sunlight. For optimal cosmetic results, follow the instructions carefully and consult a healthcare professional if you have any concerns.
